Server Security
FOCUS Servers are secure. Only people with
valid userids and passwords may access the server.
It is your responsibility to keep these codes
secure and to maintain strong passwords.

SSL
E-Commerce transactions (and other communication
of credit card details or other confidential
information) introduce additional risks as
data may be "sniffed" by third parties
in transit. The industry-standard way to protect
confidential information sent using web site
form is to use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
encryption.
Digital Certificate
To reassure your customers, SSL is normally
used in tandem with a Digital Certificate,
which identifies your site as legitimately
yours and not that of an impostor. FOCUS can
provide access to a Shared Certficate or set
up your own, exclusive Certificate
Credit Card Information
For added security, credit card information
should never be stored on the server. Most
credit card processing companies provide for
the card information to be input directly
to their site.
